Step into a fantasy
Walking into Hunter's Moon is to step into a fairytale. A tree grows through the centre of the house, hand-carved oak frames the doors and windows, and stained glass throws colour across the rooms. Cocooned by woodland and fields, you have complete seclusion and privacy in a stunning, serene setting.
The cottage began life in 1580 as a tiny dwelling with an open fireplace, and that original hearth still warms the snug today. Over the years it has been extended east and west into an extraordinary and unique holiday home that guests describe as "the most beautiful house in England".

A secluded retreat near beautiful Glastonbury
Hunter's Moon sits on Pennard Hill, on a powerful ley line in the constellation of Sagittarius within the Glastonbury Zodiac. Local history holds that this is where King Arthur's army kept its horses, protected by the water that once surrounded the Isle of Avalon. The stream below the garden is still known as Witches Dip.
Glastonbury itself is five miles away: a quirky town of colourful shop fronts, incense and crystals, steeped in myth and history. Climb the Tor for sunrise, wander the Abbey ruins, drink from the Chalice Well and browse the eclectic High Street. The medieval city of Wells, Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, Bath and the Somerset coast are all within easy reach.

So peaceful. We had a girls' weekend here and it was perfect. The house is magical and the location is very peaceful, a great place to reset. Having the hot tub was a great bonus and it was lovely seeing all the wildlife.
★★★★★
Magical place. I held my second retreat here this past weekend. Once again Hunter's Moon was perfect. Jo was extremely helpful and communication was brilliant throughout. The house was perfect and we were met with a gorgeous welcome basket. The wisteria was in bloom this year and made the house look even more magical. We all left feeling relaxed and recharged.

We will be back. Just back from a second visit to Hunter's Moon. This second visit was just as awesome, if not more so, than the first. It is such a magical, peaceful and unique place. From the moment you walk through the door the house hugs you and you instantly relax. Each room has its own personality and quirks. It is amazingly equipped both in the kitchen and the bedrooms. The gardens are equally magical with so many pathways, nooks and crannies to explore. This will not be our last visit as we intend to make this an annual event.
